AHF Speakout

By Christina McEwen

AHF Cambodia Cares’  World AIDS Day free HIV testing campaign began on November 9, 2011, the first day of the Water Festival - a Cambodian national holiday - and will continue until World AIDS Day, December 1.

These photos are from the first day of the testing campaign in Phnom Penh City, where AHF has been able to reach over 9,000 people through outreach activities. 479 people were referred and tested and 6 cases were found HIV positive and linked to treatment and care.

The testing locations are varied and included schools, health centers, and a Buddhist temple which had never been a place for testing previously.
